I know you love 'em, so here they are!
Had a rough day at the office? You're normally peppy, but today
you'd like to see something implode?
Egad, don't cause a scene. Instead, channel your frustrations at
Implosion World, where "Demolition comes alive."
You're viewing legitimate
construction (destruction?) projects from the demolition industry.
Watch stadiums, bridges and hotels meet their Maker in slow motion.
You've got to check this Web site out--it's a blast.
Blow It Up!
Photojournalists reveal our world as it is, and not necessarily
as we wish it.
Every hour at the 10 x 10 Web site, 10 rows of 10 photographs are
freshly posted. These images are gleaned from Reuters World News, BBC
World Edition and the New York Times International News. Subjects are
generally of a global nature.
Click on any photo in the grid. Watch it swoop front and center,
accompanied by a relevant headline and related stories. If you prefer,
scroll down the right-hand border to reveal a text description.
At 10 x 10, the photos of countries you've never visited and people
you've never met will touch your heart.

I'm too late for Thanksgiving but not for that Christmas turkey! Don't worry--I'm here to help! To make your holiday memorable, in a good way this time, check out these Web sites.
For starters, try the National Turkey Federation Web site. You'll
find a virtual menu, prep tips from pros and a Recipe Club via e-mail.
For something quick and different, how does Popeye's Cajun Fried
Turkey sound?
Speaking of fried turkey, this popular technique is described at the
LouAna Web site. Although it sounds greasy, it's not. Deep-frying sears
the turkey quickly to seal in flavor. LouAna gives tips on marinade
techniques, oil selection and frying safety.
Thinking of a more traditional turkey? Butterball is the final
answer for your turkey questions. How do I know when it's done? How do
I store and prepare leftovers? I liked the Plan, Prep & Serve tab. It
starts things off on the right foot.
Are you shorthanded and in a hurry? The Hormel Foods home page can
locate a turkey and give you a quick recipe. While you're cooking,
stall hungry guests with a peek at the SPAM Museum in Austin, MN--
it's awesome! Well, it's different at least!

I do a lot of shopping online. This year I did nearly all my Christmas shopping online which I found to be absolutely stress free! I was finished by the first week of November. I had the option to have things delivered directly to the recipient or to myself, but I opted to have only one item shipped directly. The rest came to me so I could wrap everything in festive paper. But you have to be careful -- I definitely overshopped because once I got everything together to be sent, the box I put all the gifts in to be sent turned out to be huge, weighing 52 pounds!! But to help with that online shopping, I've got a shopping secret to share. That secret is "promo codes." Promo codes come directly from the manufacturer, and they save
you a bundle.
Which leads us to the following cool sites. They snoop all over the Internet for
promo codes, then organize and post them in one spot.
At Jumpondeals, I found a free printer and surge protector with the
purchase of a select IBM ThinkCentre desktop or ThinkPad notebook.
Meanwhile, Currentcodes says RadioShack offers a $100 rebate on its
$299 HP digital photography bundle. Wow--talk about icing on the cake!
For Mac lovers, a $10 iTunes Gift Certificate awaits you with any iPod
purchase per Couponcabin.
Oh, and one more secret. Before you whip out your debit card, take my
advice and use your credit card instead. A credit card gives you more
leverage in case of a dispute.

EarthCam is the cyber version of gazing out the school window during
a long class. View images from exotic locations worldwide as they are

Along with mainstream categories like Beaches and Mountains, the site
includes Humorous and Weird/Unusual sites. For example, you can search

Some of the sites display still photos, while others send live
video. Whatever it is you'd like to view, you'll get a front row
seat at EarthCam.

Just a quick note... I will NEVER buy a butterball again! I spent $25 dollars on one for thanksgiving and it wasn't nearly as good as I the "generic" ones I usually buy. They aren't generic but they are california "grown" turkeys. They taste so much better and are sooo juicy, and cost less than half of what a butterball costs. :) I already got mine for christmas.
I gotta tell you: I love the Butterball! Isn't that funny? In fact, I'm picking up a fresh, not frozen Butterball on Friday. This brand is definitely my favorite!
What can I say about you, Sharmy? After all, you're mad for SUSHI! No wonder you don't like the delectable Butterball -- your tastebuds are dead!
*lol*
*lol* nope... the fresh california grown turkeys are by far superior!Even my hubby likes the turkey breast from those. (he hates chicken & turkey breast normally)
oh, want to see something neat. Your earth cam link reminded me of it... go to google earth. You can see satelite pics of your area and it even zooms in so you can see my house! WOW! If you live in a small town it doesn't work so well, it only showed trees when I looked at my home town. Try it out, pretty cool!
