Actually

... my blog title should be more like "Beer For My Wolfdog?" because I have no horses, not anymore. They're all gone now. My babies are all gone, all the tack, saddles, show tack, grooming supplies, leads, halters, everything, gone! This 97 acre horse ranch is lonely, so very lonely ... There's a reason for everything -- it's said -- although sometimes I simply can't fathom why.

Ugh!

Hooray, I'm back! Oh. You don't know, do you? This is the third time I've made an attempt at a post today. The other two were lost when my laptop seized up and almost turned into a frisbee -- it was close that second time. And I scream Image hosted by Photobucket.com at it like, "Why you have to do me that way?? There's no call for that!!" I don't know ... I think this thing's got some bad mojo goin' on w/ it lately ... the past couple of months. Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I miss that! We have Canada Geese here too but these guys are a bunch of Marys because they don't migrate. They're here all summer and all winter.

Oh this is ridiculous! I found a SNOW SMILEY! Image hosted by Photobucket.com This is just not fair ... The forecast is for warmer temps, no precipitation. Pardon me, but isn't this almost Christmas??

One of the best things about this time of year is the availability of eggnog! Son of Sam and I make it from scratch w/ yes, raw eggs but it's sooo good! It's hard to return to the stuff in the carton because there's just no comparison. Ours isn't exactly made like this ...

It's no secret I live in the middle of Redneck Land. It's truly a sight to behold at times -- all you have to do is keep your eyeballs peeled.

*LOL* That was GREAT!!I love the reindeer in the tree. IT reminds me of my brother when he goes a huntin'. *lol* I wish it would snow here!! Dang it! I miss that most of all. It doesn't feel christmasy here. Palm trees and 70 degree wheather....just doesn't scream CHRISTMAS IS COMING! Oh well, I guess life goes on! *lol*
Oh there is a Mexican eggnog that is yummy! It is called Santa Clara it is alcoholic, but it tastes awesome on peaches...oh yum!! I like eggnog flavored stuff, like today I had a eggnog latte from starbucks...yum yum yum! But I'm not crazy about the prepackaged stuff. The homemade might be yummy but I have never tried it.
My mom in law makes a kick butt fruit punch for the holidays: raisins, guavas, sugar cane, plums/prunes, apples and a bunch of other stuff. It is so good. It is served hot...
In my family we didn't have a traditional drink, my brother in law loves the eggnog, but everyone else drinks coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
Is your sonny coming home for christmas? Oh I hope so! That would be so nice! Talk to you soon!

Son of Sam would not be coming home for Christmas. He's pretty tied up w/ his ... friends up there. Plus, I don't know how much time he has time off work but it wouldn't matter if he had a month paid vacation. He's all wrapped up w/ those he's w/, not us down here.

It's okay. It just doesn't seem like Christmas here either, Shan.
