Actually

... my blog title should be more like "Beer For My Wolfdog?" because I have no horses, not anymore. They're all gone now. My babies are all gone, all the tack, saddles, show tack, grooming supplies, leads, halters, everything, gone! This 97 acre horse ranch is lonely, so very lonely ... There's a reason for everything -- it's said -- although sometimes I simply can't fathom why.

We Will Never Forget

It hurts my heart to post today, but they need to know

We Will Never Forget

They deserve this. They certainly deserved far better than they received. May God hold them all in His loving arms, and let them know, It will be alright.

Photo Sequence of the 10:28 A.M. EDT WTC North Tower Collapsing:

We will never forget how the Twin Towers rained debris on Lower Manhattan, nor the thousands of firefighters, police officers and others who were killed in the collapse.

We will never forget how everyone ran in terror to escape the massive debris storm when the towers collapsed.

We will never forget the countless brave men and women who were only trying to help but instead were evacuated.

Some survived ...

... on the sunny day that went dark.

Still others wandered around in disbelief.

At 9:45 A.M. EDT, exactly one hour after Flight 11 hits the WTC North Tower, Flight 77 crashes into The Pentagon.
Twenty-minutes later, at 10:05 A.M. , the White House, and other important Washington buildings are evacuated.
Twenty- five minutes later, at 10:10 A.M., one side of The Pentagon collapses.

And the aftermath.

United Airlines Flight 93 had a plane full of heroes that day. Forever known as "The Flight That Fought Back" they were determined to either regain control of the aircraft or put that bird into a field to prevent further casualties. It's been five years but I cannot fathom that kind of bravery. I've had all this time to think it over, I've seen the movies that speculate on much of what happened, I've seen interviews of those who lost loved ones on Flight 93 and listened to them recount their last conversations, most while the plane was aloft. I'm an intelligent female and I have a heart of gold but I tell you truly, never in my life could I do something such as these brave souls did. Could I? It's said in dire situations you onestly don't know what you'd do, until it actually happens. Brave souls indeed.

May God bless you and keep you, each of the souls lost on 11 September, 2001. Even those responsible.

I of course heard the speech given by bin Laden on 7 October, 2001, where he began by saying, " There is America, hit by God in one of its softest spots. Its greatest buildings were destroyed, thank God for that. There is America, full of fear from its north to its south, from its west to its east. Thank God for that," and so on. I would like to say the poor man is simply deluded but I can't. He's not stupid, you don't see him in a flying bomb, crashing it into a building! Oh no, he stays on the sidelines -- hiding, something he does well. However, I don't believe he's misguided. He's pure evil so I say to him, May God have mercy on your soul! You will one day reap what you have sown. Oh, and good luck w/ those 72 virgins, Osama.

This just popped into my inbox:
Al Qaeda releases 9/11 anniversary message
"Your leaders are hiding from you the true extent of the disaster," Ayman al-Zawahiri says in a statement posted on the Internet late Sunday. "And the days are pregnant and giving birth to new events, with Allah's permission and guidance."
